Location: 16 Glebe Point Road, Glebe.

Coffee in one word: Smooth

Atmosphere: I have been meaning to try this place for a while as overtime I cruise past it looks very inviting. It didn’t fail to deliver on appearances. It is a very funky designed cafe with some old school racers hanging on the wall which match the setting perfectly. This place was full of vibrant noise and energy. You feel great from the time you step in the door till the time you leave. They also have some cool high table and chairs outside for the perfect people watching perch if you like watching the world go by. It is also a very peaceful place to sit back, relax and read an amazing book like Redback One: The True Story of An Australian SAS Hero.

Service: The staff were extremely friendly and engaging. The coffee was amazing and was made exceptionally fast.

Roast / Bean: Grinders (I believe).

Cost: Best pricing I have found on Glebe Point Road.

Coffee in one word: Exceptional

Atmosphere: The Veggie Patch Diner is a cool little cafe that popped up after the success these guys had with their original concept which was a veggie van. This place has an awesome vibe due to the amazing interior decorating. They have a cool little row of table out the front to watch the world cruise by. They also have a really funky indoor area and a cute little back garden for a more intimate setting.

Service: Staff are always fast, friendly and efficient. It is a pleasure catching up with these guys as they always make you feel very welcome.

Roast / Bean: It’s a Saturday…I was to relaxed to look. Again I will get back to you.

Cost: Good price in a high competition area.

Reward schemes: Nil.

.Atmosphere: Badde Manors is a very popular little coffee spot in glebe. It could be described as a corner stone of the cafe strip on Glebe Point Road. It is well situated near Sydney Uni and as such always has an eclectic mix of people from the uni and from around the local area hanging around. It has been in the area since 1982 and the interior is a cool mix of modern and old school decor. The coffee is always exceptional and it is a very quick turn around if you are in a rush.

Service: This place always has fresh faces and friendly staff from all corners of the globe. They are always fast, efficient and smiling.

Roast / Bean: Hey I paid attention this time. Vittoria Coffee.

Cost: Good and affordable for a university student.

Coffee Type: A large very tough guy kinda caramel latte.

Location: Broadway shopping centre Glebe.

Atmosphere: Three Beans is all hustle and bustle all the time. They have lovely little sitting area inside the cafe or they have a lovely sitting area out in the mall. Where, yep you guessed it, you can sit back and watch the world go by. This place is awesome as a go too place while shopping and conveniently they are opened till 2000 if you need a late night coffee. Coffee is always amazing.

Service: As this place is so busy the staff are very very efficient. They are always friendly and courteous and it is a pleasure ordering a coffee from them.

Roast / Bean: Certified organic rainforest alliance coffee beans.

Cost: Good pricing for a shopping centre.

Location: 35 Ross Street, Glebe.

Atmosphere: This place is a cool little nook just off the main street. It is a small little cafe with a funky arrangement of seating available from sitting on the street to sitting in the bench seats to watch the world go by. This is a great place to hang and get some work done in peace or alternatively it is a relaxed little place to hang with friends and just chat as the world spins by. Coffee is amazing here, they nail it every time.

Service: The staff are all energy and friendliness here. I am a fan of sitting in and they always make you feel very welcome. But on those occasions when I have to shoot past they are always very engaging as they quickly make your coffee.

Roast / Bean: I know I wrote it down this time.

Cost: Good pricing for Glebe.

Location: 4 – 8 Booth Street, Annandale.

Atmosphere: This is my go to brew shop in the mornings on the way to work. It is a very funky, fast and friendly little oasis. The cafe is situated in a cool little corner of booth street. There is some old school, cool and funky design to the place that gives it a peaceful and relaxing feel. The coffee is always great here, some might say addictively good.

Service: The staff can not be faulted here. They are always friendly and will always go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you want. I also am a big fan of anyone who will try and remember your order as this does make you feel quite at home. Most of the staff here try and achieve that. Overall the service is fast, efficient and the staff are amazing.

Roast / Bean: Ha considering that I go here a lot…I should know this.

Cost: Reasonable pricing for Annandale.

Coffee Type: A very large latte.

Location: 61A Bay Rd, Waverton.

Atmosphere: This place is a little oasis of funkiness! It’s tucked in a quiet corner on the main road right across from the train stations. The furniture is recycled antiques with a funky edge. So it looks cool and is super comfy. There is three levels and a small hidden garden at the top with a fountain. Whoever did the styling here nailed it. This place is one of the coolest coffee shops in Sydney and the coffee is next level good.

Service: The staff are amazingly friendly and have an uncanny knack of making you feel like an old friend. They are all smiles and efficiency. I always look forward to swinging past when I am in the area just to catch up with the staff.

Roast / Bean: Pablo & Rusty Coffee.

Cost: Sweet pricing, even better if you know the secret password that gets you a discount.

Location: 2 The Esplanade Balmoral Beach, NSW 2088.

Atmosphere: Swung past for a takeaway mocha today. If we are talking about location, and lets face it we are, the the boathouse can not be beaten. It sits over the water on Balmoral beach. Now today was just a takeaway which is a really cool little side feature they have set up. Rather than heading in to order your coffee, they have a side bar set up on the beach that you just cruise up to in the sand and order your brew. They always make a great coffee here and the mocha was a little sweet treat for todays outing.

Service: Nice and relaxed with an air of efficiency which is needed in this busy location. Staff are always very friendly and smiling.

Roast / Bean: Single Origin Coffee.

Cost: Good pricing considering the nature of the location.

Location: 10 Mallet St Camperdown.

Atmosphere: I am a big fan of the George Gregan Cafes. They are always funky and trendy. Camperdown GG Espresso is no exception to this. I love this little joint. The coffee is always spectacular. It has an awesome little hole in the wall that you can order coffee and food from or you can duck inside for a seat which is situated below the street level. This adds to the peace and quiet and also give you a discrete people watching perch, if thats your thing.

Service: Wonderfully friendly. I always like a place that double checks on your milk of choice, as this is a big issue for some people these days. Very efficient and welcoming service.

Roast / Bean: GG Espresso House Blend Coffee.

Cost: One of the more reasonably priced coffees in the area.

Location: 876 Military Road, Mosman, NSW, 2088.

Atmosphere: Swerve is a well designed, funky little cafe on the main street in Mosman. The cafe is always bustling with people who are either coming for a brew in the comfort of the cafe, or who are just swinging past for a snappy coffee on the way to work, or wherever it is they are going. It is also conveniently situated across the road from the high school. I am sure the teachers at the school enjoy teaching the highly caffeinated students that take advantage of the cafes positioning. Well played I say!!! 

Service: Very friendly and efficient.
