Location: 747 Newcastle St Leederville WA 6007488 Beaufort Street, Highgate

Coffee in one word or more: Carnivally!!!

Atmosphere: So how did I stumble across this little sugary paradise??? Well I am glad you asked. I was looking for an epic donut (possibly more than one???) and I found it!!! And while I was deciding on what donut to consume there was a ray of light that shone right out of the heavens down on their coffee machine. They had coffee…and donuts…but coffee…they had coffee…well I can honestly let you know…I settled in for the long haul…sugar coma here I come. The crew that work here are really friendly, helpful and above all…they are donut enablers…and I think they take a little joy in waiting for the sugary crashes that inevitably come!!! 😉

Service: Like I said, they are enablers and I want to thank them for that!!! I want to thank them for showing me what I was truely capable of when it came to great coffee combined with donuts and followed by a sugar coma. This place is a must on the to do list. The staff are friendly, fun and possibly full of sugar most of the day!!! Makes for a fun place to visit.

Roast / Bean: Sorry…I was distracted by the donuts!!!

Cost: Standard Rims but worth every cent and the sugar hangover was so worth it!!!

Atomic Cafe Claremont

Atomic Cafe Claremont Quater

Atomic Cafe Claremont

Coffee Type: A Fancy Schmancy Long Black

Location: The Sq Claremont Quarter St Quentin Ave, Claremont WA 6010

Coffee in one word: Nuclear

Atmosphere: This is my people watching and getting stuff done cafe. It is a relaxed place where you can just watch the world go by either in the quarter or outside on the street. The place has a funky vibe and is super comfy, in a very regal and fancy part of Perth. It also helps that they have heaps of sweet treats and some epic donuts. Coffee was epic as well, I have to admit I may have exceeded my daily coffee quota hanging around here.

Service: Friendly. Like bulk friendly. I was talked into a peanut butter and jam donut and I have to say its the best decision I made today. The guys and girls are very friendly and very efficient. The line here can get quite long and rushed, however the staff here are efficient and always remain friendly and engaging.

Roast / Bean: House blend I believe.

Cost: Standard rims.

Reward schemes: No sure??? 😉

☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️ Best people watching cafe in the vicinity of a shopping centre I have come across.

Deus Cafe Camperdown

Deus Cafe Camperdown

Dues Cafe Camperdown

Coffee Type: A Large Long Black on wheels to go

Location:  98-104 Parramatta Rd, Camperdown NSW 2050

Coffee in one word: Dueslish

Atmosphere: This is a really cool concept for a cafe. It is full of all types of two wheeled excitement. It has an amazing decor and design that you would have to go to bulk times to take it all in. They have funky concepts like movie nights during the week and you can imagine the passionate bike people that are here all the time. This is also a faved haunt for the locals and the hospital staff from up the street. I have to admit I am like a kid in a candy store here. I always get a takeaway coffee here but by the time I have finished looking at all the boys toys in the place and completed my mental shopping list, I need another coffee. This is a void you want to get sucked into.

Service: These guys are always super, super, like a marvel character, super busy. And it always makes me smile with how friendly, warm and engaging they are under these hectic conditions. I guess thats the joys of being a popular cafe. But my hat goes off to them with how they handle themselves.

Roast / Bean: Di Lorenzo Caffe

Cost: Standard rims.

Reward schemes: There coffee is your reward 😉

☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️ This place is an uber cool experience. Be prepared for a busy, awesome, and eye boggling experience.

Coffee in one word: An Experience.

Atmosphere: One of the lads at work recommended this place. He is a big fan of coffee. He told me the only way to describe this place is its an experience. They will walk you through this coffee experience to give you the ultimate coffee tailored to you. And he wasn’t wrong. What this team doesn’t know about coffee isn’t worth knowing. It is a nice small chilled space where you can find the ultimate privacy to relax in or it can be an engaging place to just chill.

Service: I have never been walked through a coffee experience like this. From the get go they hit me up with some probing questions till they came up with a recommendation on my ultimate coffee. They talked up a big game here and I have to say, They delivered and exceeded my expectations. On top of they they had me laughing and I felt very at home while they made the ultimate coffee.

Its out on the front lawn where you can just sit and watch the world go by. It also has a really cool bench seat out the front where you can happily sit while waiting for an amazing takeaway.

Service: The guys running this place are really cool and friendly. They engage you from the get go and make you feel like an old friend. From the first time you visit you will be hooked. Hyper Hyper Coffee Nowra

Hyper Hyper Coffee Nowra

Hyper Hyper Coffee Nowra

Coffee Type: A Large Long Black…thats right, a real mans coffee!!!

Location: 85 North St, Nowra NSW 2541

Coffee in one word: Amazeballs…yep I said amazeballs…thats how good this coffee was!!!

Atmosphere: I was down in this lovely part of the world last week so people could try and drown me on a certified “you can possibly drown on this course” course. Good times. Obviously after surviving such a horrific and horrendous ordeal the only thing that will make you feel better is a good old fashioned hug…from a coffee…in a cup!!! Hyper Hyper coffee was the recommendation from one of my compatriots, so off we went. First impressions were this place is cool. Old Hyper Hyper Coffee didn’t disappoint. Straight from the get go this place has a cool vibe and it is just a place you want to be. People will automatically know you’re cool if you are seen here.

Service: The staff were amazingly friendly. They were very engaging and didn’t mind having a little fun with our cohort. Although this could possibly be because I looked like a drowned rat, all be it a really cool drowned rat because people were seeing me at Hyper Hyper Coffee. My only regret is that this coffee shop isn’t closer to me as its service is standard setting, the coffee is amazing and the staff are some of the friendliest I have met on my coffee adventures.

Roast / Bean: Roastery in  North Steet, Nowra

Cost: Stand rims.

Reward schemes: Nil

☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️ This is a must see, experience and taste cafe. Nothing more needs to be said. Except enjoy, I should say enjoy

Brewristas

Coffee Type: A long black. As Brewristas say, ‘Coffee is the new black!’

Location: 73 Glebe Point Road, Glebe NSW 2037

Coffee in one word: Wow

Atmosphere: I have walked past this cafe so many times and I am such a fool for not popping in. This is by far one of the coolest cafes in Glebe. It is so unassuming and then you walk inside to a very stylish and amazing atmosphere. It has a really cool industrial feel and the coffee brewing set up needs to be seen to be believed. They also have the most eclectic mix of coffee related items you can purchase from their little store. The coffee was, well I am lost for words. It was amazing, smooth and delicious. It was the perfect coffee to sit down by the harbour with a great book like The Crossroad by Mark Donaldson VC

Service: This team is cool. They are very friendly but in such a relaxed manner that you can’t help but feel relaxed too. Don’t let that fool you into thinking they aren’t efficient. On the contrary, they nearly set records with the speed the coffee was delivered in. Also having the shop to poke around in while you wait is a very smart move as they have such cool stuff to look at.

Roast / Bean: Zest Coffee Specialist Roasters

Cost: Standard for the area but still pretty cheap.

Reward schemes: Nil

☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️ This is now my favourite cafe on Glebe Point Road, I can’t go past the shop full of cool coffee items that I now want.

Atmosphere: This cafe is awesome. It has it all. Books, coffee, food, coffee, wine, coffee, oh and coffee. It has the feel of a library out of an old movie. Its such a cool place to hang out and get on with some much needed tune out reading. You can walk through the book store out into their leafy garden and have a lovely meal or a quiet coffee. They serve their own blend of coffee which is very smooth and enjoyable to drink.

Service: They are very polite and respectful. It is almost like they are library staff. Everything happens so seamlessly and quietly in the background.

Pomegranate Cafe Katoomba

Pomegranate Cafe Katoomba

          Pomegranate Cafe Katoomba

Pomegranate Cafe

Coffee Type: A large caramel latte.

Location: 49 Katoomba St Katoomba, New South Wales 2780

Coffee in one word: Sweet

Atmosphere: This cafe has a lovely and warm mountain air atmosphere. I went to Katoomba the other day on a climbing trip. As soon as we cruised down the main road we  noticed this cafe and decided to give it a try. It was one of the better ideas we had had. The cafe has a nice cosy atmosphere and the coffee is fantastic. Just what we needed to start the days adventures.

Service: Extremely friendly. They were all smiles and very helpful. The coffee came out extremely quickly and as I said before it was an awesome coffee. They have nailed the warm service you would expect from a lovely mountains cafe.

Roast / Bean: Toby Estate..

Cost: Fair pricing.

Reward schemes: Nil

☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️ I will always pop in here for a lovely coffee whenever I am back up in the mountains.

Brickfields Chippendale

Brickfields Chippendale

                 Brickfields Chippendale

Brickfields Chippendale

Coffee Type: A long black with one.

Location: 206 Cleveland Street, Chippendale.

Coffee in one word: Pleasant

Atmosphere: With a name like Brickfields and my notable obsession with lego, how could I not visit a cafe with a name like Brickfields. While the cafe has nothing to do with lego it is still an awesome little local secret. It is a bakery as well as a cafe so you can just imagine how amazing it smells when you step inside. They have an excellent layout which lets you see right into the bakery to whats going on, so your curious side can be appeased. You can even sit on the park benches outside the cafe and they will serve your coffee there, which I think is very unique and cool. On the wall when you walk in is a cool feature wall of tiles that they have incorporated into the design of the takeaway coffee cups which is a very unique technique.

Service: So they have one of the coolest serving techniques I have come across. I a a bit of a tech geek and as such love gadgets and the like. As soon as you walk in you are served by a friendly staff member with a iPad who takes your order and your money so you don’t have to line up at the counter. They are very friendly here and the staff combination make for a very funky vibe. This was the first time I had been to this cafe but thanks largely to the staff I will become more of a regular here.

Roast / Bean: In house blend.

Cost: Good price for the area.

Reward schemes: Nil

☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️ This will become one of my regular coffee haunts. Thats how much of an initial impression it had on me.
