So a couple of mates and myself jumped in the car and drove easily 50km+ in search of a good coffee. We decided to try Cervantes and literally stumbled upon this little gem on the side of the road. So we immediately executed a U turn and found the best coffee on the street!!! And this deserves a tribute!!!

Driftwood Cafe Akuna Bay

Driftwood Cafe Akuna Bay

Coffee Type: A Large Latte

Location: D’Albora Marinas, Terrey Hills NSW 2084

Coffee in one word: Lifesaver

Atmosphere: This was a fly by visit as I was working outdoors in the cold miserable rain. The coffee order was large and very much required to keep team morale up—which was dwindling as fast as our chances of going home dry .he best part of the cafe was it was very warm and dry.

Service: The team here took the massive order in their stride and delivered an excellent range of coffees that were exceptionally warm and morale boosting when delivered to the troops on the ground. Overall the team was friendly and warm.

Roast / Bean: Withams

Cost: They have the market cornered here but the pricing is fair.

Reward schemes: Nil

☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️ This place has to been seen to be believed.

Brewristas

Coffee Type: A long black. As Brewristas say, ‘Coffee is the new black!’

Location: 73 Glebe Point Road, Glebe NSW 2037

Coffee in one word: Wow

Atmosphere: I have walked past this cafe so many times and I am such a fool for not popping in. This is by far one of the coolest cafes in Glebe. It is so unassuming and then you walk inside to a very stylish and amazing atmosphere. It has a really cool industrial feel and the coffee brewing set up needs to be seen to be believed. They also have the most eclectic mix of coffee related items you can purchase from their little store. The coffee was, well I am lost for words. It was amazing, smooth and delicious. It was the perfect coffee to sit down by the harbour with a great book like The Crossroad by Mark Donaldson VC

Service: This team is cool. They are very friendly but in such a relaxed manner that you can’t help but feel relaxed too. Don’t let that fool you into thinking they aren’t efficient. On the contrary, they nearly set records with the speed the coffee was delivered in. Also having the shop to poke around in while you wait is a very smart move as they have such cool stuff to look at.

Roast / Bean: Zest Coffee Specialist Roasters

Cost: Standard for the area but still pretty cheap.

Reward schemes: Nil

☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️ This is now my favourite cafe on Glebe Point Road, I can’t go past the shop full of cool coffee items that I now want.

Brickfields Chippendale

Coffee Type: A long black with one.

Location: 206 Cleveland Street, Chippendale.

Coffee in one word: Pleasant

Atmosphere: With a name like Brickfields and my notable obsession with lego, how could I not visit a cafe with a name like Brickfields. While the cafe has nothing to do with lego it is still an awesome little local secret. It is a bakery as well as a cafe so you can just imagine how amazing it smells when you step inside. They have an excellent layout which lets you see right into the bakery to whats going on, so your curious side can be appeased. You can even sit on the park benches outside the cafe and they will serve your coffee there, which I think is very unique and cool. On the wall when you walk in is a cool feature wall of tiles that they have incorporated into the design of the takeaway coffee cups which is a very unique technique.

Service: So they have one of the coolest serving techniques I have come across. I a a bit of a tech geek and as such love gadgets and the like. As soon as you walk in you are served by a friendly staff member with a iPad who takes your order and your money so you don’t have to line up at the counter. They are very friendly here and the staff combination make for a very funky vibe. This was the first time I had been to this cafe but thanks largely to the staff I will become more of a regular here.

Roast / Bean: In house blend.

Cost: Good price for the area.

Reward schemes: Nil

☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️ This will become one of my regular coffee haunts. Thats how much of an initial impression it had on me.

Coffee in one word: Magnificent

Atmosphere: Hidden just round the corner on Raglan Street is this little bustling cafe full of energy and cool vibes. Its not uncommon to see a celeb or two hanging around here. The place has a cool layout and awesome interior design. It has the ability to be wide open and airy in the summer or such down for warmth in the winter. It is a very bright and vibrant place to watch the world cruise on by. The coffee is nothing short of exceptional here.

Service: Wow…they are fast here. They may even own barristaring records for all I know. What I do know is they are always friendly and somehow have the largest smiles on their faces. They set a very high standard of friendliness which always amazes me considering how busy they are

You can come in and sit down here and just wait in peace for your flight. The place is a little busy which is to be expected. The coffee is Campos and as such is a fantastic coffee every time.

You feel great from the time you step in the door till the time you leave.
